Bridging the Education Gap

Many rural children begin government school without basic literacy and numeracy foundations. Blessed Land Academy helps bridge that gap with joyful, age-appropriate early learning.

The Malo Odala Center is our current hub, serving 80 children from Kakupwe and Mpokota. Learning in Bemba, Nyanja and English connects familiar language with new skills. Education is free for participating rural families.

Learning through discovery

Small steps. Lasting foundations.

Our curriculum brings learning, play and character development together.

Early literacy

Letter recognition, phonics and storytelling build early reading foundations. Children explore Bemba, Nyanja and English, with Bible verses supporting introductory language skills.

Numeracy

Counting, number recognition and simple patterns come to life through hands-on games, songs and everyday learning activities.

Social skills

Sharing, listening and cooperation help children feel at home in a classroom and develop the confidence to learn alongside others.

Bible knowledge

Bible stories, memory verses and character lessons nurture kindness, faith and care for others.

Learning, play and belonging

A day at the Academy

A typical school day makes room for prayer, discovery, creative play and a nourishing meal.

  1. Gather together

Prayer, songs and circle time welcome children into the day.

  2. Explore words

Letters, phonics and stories build early literacy.

  3. Count and discover

Number games make counting and patterns practical.

  4. Play and create

Creative play encourages imagination and cooperation.

  5. Nourish and reflect

A meal and Bible stories bring nourishment and shared learning.

Daily feeding program

Nourishing Children. Strengthening Education.

Learning and nourishment belong together. The Academy’s ongoing commitment to a meal every school day helps children have energy for learning, play and growth.

Daily feeding is part of Reach • Teach • Empower: meeting an immediate need while helping children build foundations for tomorrow.

Every meal helps a child learn. Every school day matters.

Rooted in community

Local teachers. Family partnership.

Local teachers understand the languages and communities our children call home. Their care helps make the classroom a familiar, welcoming place to learn.

Working alongside parents and families connects classroom learning with encouragement at home. This partnership supports children as they develop confidence, curiosity and care for others.

Our future vision

Growing opportunity across Zone 12

Our long-term goal is to expand the central Malo Odala hub to serve 300 children across 15 villages, with safe, reliable transportation connecting rural families to early education. This is the vision we are working toward, not our current enrollment or reach.
